A cold night and a few thoughts

The leaves fluttered in the air as a feeble sound of chimes from a room nearby reached my ears. The moon was busy making its way through the clouds as i sat on a bench under a tree and gazed at the sky. A sense of tranquility filled up my mind as it stopped calculating the infinite possibilities that might emerge out of future that beholds.

Soon my attention turned to a tree in front of me, one which had lost all its leaves, announcing the arrival of winter early enough . It made me think that a tree just by the corner undergoes more cycles than we undergo in our own respective lives. Come summer, it would have leaves enough to make you suspect the route that you took to get there...

The very thought that life's more eventful for a tree by the corner of the road, although not displacing herself at all, right from the day she was born, makes me wonder about the impact of displacement as people percieve it in this modern world. An inherent dynamic nature of the soul wishes to move faster than the surroundings themselves... Somewhat like a passenger walking inside a moving train hoping to get to the destination early.....

My first poem...infact too small for a poem...

At last, on a rainy saturday afternoon ...i thought of jotting down something...Thanks to my cousin Trilok...who inspired me through his poem.

"Words did not speak,
My eyes did .
The language of my heart,
was for you to decipher .
A hello was enough
for the symphony to start..."
